  • About the Position

    The Operations Engineer will be responsible for Tungle's Quality Assurance (QA), Support and IT infrastructure.

    The ideal candidate will have to make sure that Tungle remains a highly reliable and quality product, and at the same time, will need to provide online support for the customers. As part of the Operations Team, the candidate will also need manage Tungle's IT infrastructure from time to time, and will work closely with all areas of the business, including R&D, product management, graphics design, marketing and business development.

    It is expected that the candidate's responsibilities will grow with the company.


    Objectives

    • Make sure that the product is ready for our customers in terms of usability, functionality and robustness.

    • Update Test Plans and write test cases based on new and existing features.

    • Execute test cases regularly for each new release.

    • Write and debug automated test cases, focusing on test case automation as much as possible.

    • Provide 24/7 online support, optimize and streamline support processes.

    • Manage Tungle's IT infrastructure.

    Skills

    • Minimum of 8 years experience in QA, Support or IT.

    • Experience with test automation tools.

    • Experience with Java, JBoss, MySQL and VBA.

    • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, XEN, MS Virtual PC)

    • Experience with network monitoring tools (Nagios, OpenNMS, SNMP).

    • Experience with scripting languages (BASH, PHP, Perl, Python).

    • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, OS X, BSD).

    • Strong understanding of networking and security concepts.

    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to reproduce problems occurring in the field.

    • Must be autonomous and resourceful.

    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, take ownership of problems and have the drive to see the solution through.


    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

    • A networking certification is an asset.

  • About the Position
    The position reports directly into the Chief Technology Officer. The Senior/Intermediate Software Developers will be responsible for the most critical parts of our solution.

    As a proud member of the R&D team, the successful applicant will be participating all areas of R&D, such as requirement analysis, prototyping, designing, programming, and development testing. He/She will be also working with product management and graphics design. It is expected that the candidate responsibilities will grow with the company.

    Objectives
    • Develop a Windows, Unix or MAC based version of the solution
    • Launch the application in multiple languages, around the world
    • Put all efforts in maximizing the number of downloads and active users around the world.

    Skills
    • C++, OO design principles
    • experience in developement under Windows (Win32 API), or Unix/Linux, or Mac OS
    • experience in development of networking/Internet; familiarity with various networking protocols
    • familiarity with common design patterns
    • good knowledge in XML related technologies
    • ability to anticipate and solve problems independently; quick learner and self-starter

    Education
    Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

  • About the Position

    The Director of R&D will be the quarterback for the R&D team.  The R&D Director is a unique individual that can lead a small team of opinionated, spirited, highly intelligent developers.  The R&D Director will have the know-how and experience to assure that proper development processes (SCRUM) are being followed, and that the team adheres to this philosophy.

     

    In addition, as needed, the R&D Director will roll-up his/her sleeves and get right in the code to trouble shoot problems as well as play a leading role in the overall architecture and design of the service.  Finally, the R&D Director should have the presence and confidence to lead technical discussions with key partners and investors.

     

    The Director needs to have a very inquisitive mind, be a fanatic of results, and not be easily distracted by non-core activities.  A key measure of success for this position is his/her’s ability to deliver a reliable, user-friendly, scalable service.  Focus, execute, win, celebrate.

    • Proficient in C++, OO design principles, Windows Applications, Outlook plug-ins

    • Solid experience in SCRUM development processes

    • Excellent communicator, easy to work with, and never backs down from a challenge.
